Temperature Control

The main spaces of DoES Liverpool have air conditioning units provide heating and cooling. We also have two oil filled radiators that can be transported into rooms when needed. We do not currently have heating in the side rooms although we will need to add something eventually.

Please try to turn off any heaters or air con units when not in use

Main Room

The main room has two ceiling mounted air con units. These can be used separately or together but must be used on the same program (i.e. both heating or both cooling). There are two remotes although one is now kept in storage. You need to use the remote to turn on each or both of the units. Most of the time you simply need to press the On/Off button and look for at least a green light on the unit (a red light will usually also show up, this is normal). You can also use the arrows to increase or decrease the temperature.

Events Room and Room 29

These rooms also have ceiling mounted air con units. Their controls are wall mounted. The one in the events room is to the right of the door as you come in. The one in room 29 is also on the right as you enter that room although on the buttress wall near the internal windows. You usually just turn the unit on or off and accept the temperature it is set to although you can also use the arrows to increase or decrease the temperature.
