Want a cheap F4 board with lots of potential? This Revolution clone in its "acro" form does offer F4 performance for ~$20. Unfortunately it does require quite a bit of trial and errors.

Available through My Airbot. Banggood and readytoflyquads do also sell a similar board.

AirbotF4 - Flip32 F4 diagram

Another wiring diagram can be found in https://quadmeup.com/flip32-f4-airbot-f4-pinout/ More informations in https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2731917-Airbot-F4-Flip32-F4-Thread

If you need PPM, then remove R19 resistor and use "ReicvrPort" in the hardware configuration tab If you need SBUS, then remove r20 resistor and use "ReicvrPort" in the hardware configuration tab If you need spektrum satellite, on the hardware configuration tab change the port to "MainPort"

The board comes with betaflight, in order to upgrade it to dRonin, please follow the Naze 32 instructions. with the following differences:

  • No boot-pads: there is a boot-button on the left of the satellite plug.
  • The card is not likely to be recognized by windows. In order to enable the appropriate drivers, just connect the board while pressing the boot-button, release the button once the leds are blinking and run Impulse RCDriver Fixer. this small utility will load the necessary windows driver.
  • In cleanflight/betaflight, the firmware to be used is ef_revolution.hex . It is located in dRonin Firmware subfolder

Please note:

  • This page does apply to the acro-version which is fully compatible with dRonin.
  • As a general rule Omnibus and OmnibusSD (with OSD, baro and mag sensors, etc...) are subject to numerous hardware revisions, and as a consequence not always supported by DRonin. When buying such a board, one should check first that it was successfully tested by another pilot!
  • With dRonin Artifice, one cannot connect to the FC through USB, when the FC is powered by battery.
  • Avoid rotating the flight-controller. The usb plug should be at the back of the quad. If the board has to be rotated, please specify level position "manually" and do not rely on the automatic level detection.
