Uploading a .PDF or File
One of the common questions we receive is regarding uploading a .PDF file to the website.
This is a two step process.
- Upload the file to the media gallery.
Please make sure to follow best SEO practices regarding naming conventions. For example, make the file name something that can be read semantically by a search engine (or a human editor that may be trying to find it on WordPress!).
ArtFoundation_StudentGuide_2020.pdf = Good file naming
afo-sg-1.pdf = Poor file naming
You also must ensure that your files meet accessibility compliance.
- Take the URL from the file uploaded to the media gallery and hyperlink to it on your page.
