GitHub Branches

The UCVM software GitHub repository may contain multiple code branches. The basic branching strategies are:
-
The current UCVM GitHub main branch is the current best available version of the software. We recommend using this version.
-
Previous releases of the UCVM software will have branch tags. If you are trying to retrieve a specific version of the UCVM software, you can retrieve the specific version of the code you want using UCVM branch tags.
-
Typically, the latest, but untested and un-released version of the software is found on a UCVM GitHub repository on a "dev" branch. The dev branch if for use by the UCVM developers and we do not recommend using this version of the software.
