Working with templates outside of Sinopia

Some users have situations where they want to create, edit, or manage templates outside of Sinopia. To do this, you'll need to know:

• How to get templates out of Sinopia
• How to load templates into Sinopia

Here are some additional tips and known issues related to working with templates outside Sinopia:

• The classes and properties used to define a template are in the Sinopia vocabulary. This open issue requests the vocabulary as RDF.
• The root template ("the template for a template") is here: https://api.sinopia.io/resource/sinopia:template:resource
• There is no validation code for templates created outside of Sinopia
• When an template is created in the Editor, rdfs:label values are generated for things like lookup sources and nested resource templates. You may be able to omit these labels if creating a template from scratch outside the Editor; the absence of these labels should not cause errors when loading templates using the Load RDF feature.
