OLD Sinopia Work Cycle 3

This document refers to work already completed and is maintained here for reference.

Sinopia Work-Cycle 3 (August 17 to October 9 2020)

Main tasks for this work-cycle include:

• Highest priority UX requests based on user research conducted by Astrid
  1. Left nav layout
  2. Lookup modal
• Refactor codebase; increase test coverage; replace data persistence layer
• Treat resource templates as Sinopia resources
• RDF-to-MARC operational conversion

Sprint 4 (September 24 to October 9)

1. Bug fixes and usability enhancements
   1. Finish QA/Lookup Modal
   2. Remove InputListLOC component once LOC vocabularies are available through QA
   3. Finish Left navigation and Right Panel Display
2. Export working
3. Migrate 3.x.x to Production
4. Begin personalization

Sprint 3 (September 11 to September 24)

1. Release 3.2.0 to Stage for User Acceptance Tests
   • Terraform and AWS services changes (coordinate with Ops)
   • Migrate Templates and Resources
   • Record and prioritize bugs
2. QA/Lookup Modal
3. Left navigation and Right Panel Display
4. Bug Fixes

Sprint 2 (August 28 to September 10)

1. QA/Lookup Modal
   • Replace current drop-down list of results in the InputLookupQA, InputListLOC, and InputLookupSinopia components
   • Final decision if this will be a modal or expanded panel -- (*leaning toward keeping the design as a modal because it has been tested with users and may be easier to supporting tab order.)
2. RDF-to-MARC Workflow
   • Research options for hosting (currently an AWS Lambda)
   • Research and select approach for sending multiple entities to be converted to one or more MARC21 records
   • Start work for implementation based on the above research spike
3. Left navigation and Right Panel
   • Based on LOC designs, start implementing left navigation panel that displays all sections in the record with corresponding form appearing in right panel.
   • Style and possible functionality changes in the right panel. Meeting 9/3 with Astrid for specific details of expected changes.
4. Migrate Stage and PRD to 3.1.0
   • The 3.1.0 release includes the new RDF Resource Templates and using MongoDB for the backend datastore, replacing Trellis

Sprint 1 (August 17 to August 27)

1. Controlled Digital Lending (CDL)
2. Onboarding to Sinopia infrastructure changes already in progress
   • Redux state (Wed Aug 19)
   • Testing philosophy (Tues Aug 18)
   • Migrating from Trellis to Mongo-DB (TBD, Thurs?)
   • RDF-to-MARC (TBD week of Aug 24)
   • Templates as Resources (TBD week of Aug 24)
3. Improve test coverage
   • Complete existing test tickets
   • Ticket new tests needed for Trellis to Mongo-DB and Templates as Resources work
