Frackin Universe 4.18.0 (for Starbound 1.1.1)
4.18.0
- Nerfed the living hell out of the proto bow. It behaves about what I intended for it to be now. Essentially you still get the blobs but no liquid and you lose the equal-damage secondary explosion. It is no longer the OP god of all bows.
- Removed headcrab and caterpillar from circulation. They were busted and didn't fit in anyhow. We'll be making more monsters instead to replace them :)
- Mechspiders got updated to the new format, and are no longer 1.5 times larger. Their projectiles should keep you on your toes, too.
- Fixed and changed Shadowtops. They now have their own sounds and whistle, and a different attack set.
- Mushroom now unlocks shockshroom, rather than mushroom seeds (which dont drop). You can now access that entire branch of plants.
- Fixed and changed Spider Walkers. They are now variants of triplods
- Hailstrike got a just-because upgrade to its rebound projectiles
- Hailstrike has a tougher recipe to suit its awesome status
- Mini-rocket launchers touched up some more. NOW they are AWESOME. They also have adjusted recipes and new tiers.
- Type-S Survival Pack appears in the MA where it belongs
- Imperius Minigun damage scaling corrected
- Adjusted Collections UI for FU elder paintings
- Re-added rangedAimTime fix for NPCs. This should make their ranged attacks more lethal and less likely to consistently miss you, since they properly aim before attempting to fire.
- NPCs will track you further
- Adjusted a couple NPC loadouts.
- Wild algae seeds are planted more commonly on Fungal and Bog biomes (from 35% to 55% on bog, from 0 to 50% on fungal)
- X10 shield appears in the shields tab
- Reworked sprite for Doom Spirit
- Elder cage graphics updated
NEW UI:
- New crafting interface added for FU crafting stations. More will be coming in the pipe as I get time to work on them.

NEW Object: Survival Tent
- This sweet darling will prevent you from dying or being affected by weather related effects while within. Downside being that you are then stuck in a tent. But you aren't dead! yay! Handy to survive nasty storms.

- updated Electron Microscope sprite
- This adds output nodes to various lab equipment for connection to WIred Industry's item routing objects. They will try to store items via these connections, falling back on internal storage. If there's not enough room there, behaviour varies: the station may spawn items, it may go idle or it may discard what it can not store.
- The centrifuge scripts are reformatted and reworked enough to allow merging as per above

- More tech adjustments/additions. Not live yet. Don't equip non-enabled ones to yourself unless you are using a throwaway character you won't miss. These will change and will probably break characters when they are adjusted.
- Fixed Extreme Pressure Immunity effect.
- The Lootening: a bunch of loot changes in dungeons and microdungeons
- Fixed up some errors in some microdungeons, replaced missing objects and doors and adjusted tileset references
- Adjusted sub-biomes on vanilla worlds to clear out some "meh". Hives should be substantially rarer to come across now, removing their too-common status once and for all! Hell-Hives shouldn't appear at all under tier 3 anymore through all vanilla biomes.
- Cotton now turns to Mimicry in the Xeno Lab, rather than Energy. Mimicry was much too rare.
- Proto-Gun wasn't unlocking along with the pistol. Now it is. Pick up some protocite.
- Changed Proto-Gun operation somewhat
- Adjusted Miner Gun damage and energy use
- Adjusted mountainous biomes. You'll find variants of their terrain now to bring even more variety. Also, no more annoying Bulbops on them, because that monster type can die in a fire for all eternity.
- Reduced absorbed liquid in tile interactions
- Several new techs have been enabled. Their unlocks are a secret, but you'll know when you find them. To obtain them, however, you must first have all the basic techs available via the vanilla games Outpost tech quests.
- Reptilian armor can now only be crafted once you hit a Primeval biome. It requires either a dino egg or reptile scales (new) to unlock and craft. Both only appear on primeval biomes.
- Most techs removed from Science Outpost missions in favor of other ways to access them now being implemented. You can still get all the same techs... you simply are not forced into doing quests in order to obtain them in the first place.
PAK has been updated to fix crash-to-desktop.

... and you are going to love it. Pick up a Matter Assembler to unlock the recipe): The Lab Directory. You set this puppy down in your base, and then use it. It will tell you what you need to produce various goods. Try it out. It's hefty to craft, but worth the effort.

- several new types of combo/attacks are present on some weapons (melee). Only a few are represented so far, but more will be coming. Lunari Sword, Lunari Spear, Coral Dull Blade, Shadowburst and a few others got some love. The lunari sword is bad-ass now.
- fixed an exploit involving ebon blocks/ebon shards
- reduced range on wubstem sound from 15 to 3 tiles. Hopefully this makes farming them less annoying. If not, I'll simply remove the sound from planted versions of the seed and leave the wubbing to the wild.

- Densinium Rifle shots properly apply electric damage on both shot and explosion now. However, they have lost their Piercing ability, as that was too OP given their burst-fire mode being a primary fire

- High-HP decorative objects have had their health substantially lowered
- Updated the Science Outpost with the newer stations
- Removed Fission Furnace platform collision. It should no longer be possible to stack things on top of it.

- Starspawn animation corrected. They have also been changed a bit in terms of what they do. They are a tad bit more dangerous now, so be careful!

- All powered goods go there now, making it a bit easier to find the powered stuff when you need it.
- You can unlock this by picking up (or crafting) an Extraction Lab

- Began adding in new quest progression. None is live yet, and will not be until it is all completed.
