Days 1-3: talk sessions

Day 1: poster session

Day 2: retrium Q & A

Day 3: Firedrake clinic: bring your problem and get hands-on assistance

Dates: 15(Wed), 16(Th), 17(Fri)?

Time: 1400 - 1830 (UK)

Additions from this Meeting

• Will use easychair - DH to get pro account <- SV to deal with

  • Options for abstracts are: 1. I want a poster 2. I want a talk or poster

• Need to make website similar to that for Firedrake USA 2019 <- CW to deal with

• Registration will be via eventbrite <- DH to deal with

  • If easychair registration is straightforward then use that instead.
  • Registration charge will be £10

• Coffee breaks and drinks afterwards will be on gather.town <- NB to deal with

  • Need poster session room (NB will need to work out how this usually works)
  • Need private-space labelled tables which people can go up to for the firedrake clinic session
  • Need other general socialising spaces
  • Need help desk

• Talks to be in Zoom <- TBC, can be done fairly late in the day.

• Prizes

  • for best student poster
  • for best student presentation
  • for best postdoc presentation
  • Prize to be copies of Ed Bueller's PETSc book

• General tech support system <- TBC

  • Easychair monitoring email via https://easychair.org/conference (see point 5)
  • Consider getting an @imperial.ac.uk email address

Timeline

• Need to get website, easychair and (ideally) eventbrite up and running by 2021-07-21 (1 week on from this meeting)

• 2021-07-20 to end of August publicise the event.

• Two weeks out we do final logistics (uploads to easychair and Zoom links)
