Score Types

Score types are used to set how a Minigame is played. Currently there are 4 score types available for use in deathmatch and team deathmatch. Single player and race do not need to use these score types as they have their own built in score type (or game play time).

To set a score type:

/minigame set [MinigameName] scoretype [Name]

Or it can be set using the Edit Menu.

Custom

This is the default score type assigned to every Minigame. This does very little to how the game is played, it automatically assigns teams if its a Teams Minigame and the score can be incremented using the score command. It will also end the game when the max score has been reached.

Kills

This is for PvP type Minigames and can be used in both Free For All and Teams Minigame Types. The players or teams score will be increased for every player kill. The score limit can also be set for this, using minscore and maxscore settings. If no max score is set, it will be up to the Minigame timer to complete the game, and whoever or whichever team has the largest score at the end of this time will win.

CTF

This is the capture the flag score type that can be used in Both non-team and teams Minigame Types. There are 3 flags that can be used in this type, the red flag, the blue flag and the neutral flag. The red and blue flags can only be taken by the opposing teams, and can only be used in team deathmatch. The neutral flag can be taken by any player and can be used in both deathmatch and team deathmatch.

Teams can capture the enemy flag on their own flag, or they can use a Minigame capture sign, which can also be assigned to red, blue and neutral. These capture signs work in a similar way to the flags. Anyone can capture on a neutral capture sign, and the team capture signs only allow that team to capture on it (i.e. only red players can capture on a red capture sign)

Infection

This score type can only be used in the Teams Minigame Type, as it requires red and blue teams to use. Team join signs also cannot be used in this mode as they only work for balancing standard team Minigames.

When an infection game starts, 18% of the players that are currently playing that Minigame will be automatically assigned to the infected team (Red). The infected players must kill all the survivors (blue) to win the game. If a blue player is killed, they will change to infected and they must kill the other survivors. If the infected kill all the survivors, only the original infected will win that game. If the survivors win, any player that was a survivor and turned infected will not win, only the remaining living survivors will.

For the survivors to win, you must either set a timer for that Minigame and set the default winner to blue (/mg set defaultwinner blue), or set a lives option so that if the infected die, they will be quit from the Minigame.

Please note, infection is one of the hardest score types to balance for both teams. You must give both teams a strength and weakness and it is preferred that you don't use the default loadout, but instead use the team loadouts.

Juggernaut

This score type can only be used in the Teams Minigame Type, you cannot create teams as it's technically a not a teams minigame.

When the game starts, one person at random is selected to be the Juggernaut and the rest of the players are scattered throughout the rest of the start locations set. Score points are gained when killing the Juggernaut, or when you kill anyone else as the Juggernaut.

Loadouts must be named 'default' and 'juggernaut'.
