With Minigames 1.6.0, you can now add your own language to Minigames. Please note, this currently does not include signs and only a few of the main player commands. Only player related messages are really translatable. To create your own language translation, follow the steps below.

  1. If you haven't started the server with Minigames 1.6.0 loaded, do this first. It will create the default language file for you to copy.
  2. Once the server has been loaded, navigate to the plugins folder and go to: “Minigames/lang”.
  3. Make a copy of the file “en_AU.yml” (DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE) and save it into the same directory. Rename this file to whatever you wish, but usual naming convention consists of “language_COUNTRY.yml”. Eg: en_AU = english_AUSTRALIA.
  4. Edit this newly created file as you please. Follow the code below for reference:
  lang:
info: Minigames default language (Australian English) # A general description
version: 1.6.0 # The Minigames version, if this is different to the actual version of Minigames,
                   # the language file will not work
  player:
    join:
consMsg: "%s joined %s" # You can only edit the message, do not change "consMsg".
      plyMsg: "%s has joined %s"
plyInfo: "You have started a %s Minigame, type /minigame quit to exit."
      # Values such as %s and %d refer to Minigame set values and come up in the order Minigames sets
      # for example, "%s has joined %s" would be changed to "_Razz_ has joined TestMinigame"

Once you have finished modifying the language file, open up the main config file, located in “Minigames/config.yml”. Under the “lang” setting, change en_AU to your own language file name (excluding the “.yml”).

If all was done correctly, you should now see the changes once the server has been restarted.
