The picker window

Why

When your collection of combo grows, it can become difficult to remember all the keywords. In the past, the only solution to this problem was to open the Beeftext main window and to use the search box to locate the combo you are looking for.

How it works

Beeftext 3.0 introduces a new feature called the combo picker.

  • Using a global shortcut you can invoke a small window, the combo picker. By default the shortcut is Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Enter, and it can be triggered from any application.
  • You can directly type words from the description or the keyword of your combo, and a list of matching combos will be displayed.
  • Once you have located the combo you are looking for, use the up and down arrow keys to select the combo, and press the Enter key to trigger it.

Settings

  • The combo picker feature is enabled by default. It can be turned off in the preferences.
  • The keyboard shortcut can be modified in the preferences.
