5.1.139
Corrects a bug in the Hunters Claw script
adds Novali support for Avali abilities.
5.1.138
Saturnian Flight - Hovering no longer consumes food, and instead, regenerates it in moderate to bright sunlight (and only during the day and above ground. you cant cheat it with lightsources, to be clear). You are not intended to be able to fly forever, but hovering can extend your life, so to speak.
New Ability [Tech] - Felin, Fenerox (Testing)
Hunter's Claw
Pressing F, when not holding a weapon in either hand, allows you do do a claw attack that inflicts hunting-type damage. This allows you to hunt without a bow or spear.
Damage dealt is: (current food /12) + (current health/15)
Attacks cost a small amount of food to perform (food less than 10 switches to consuming energy), and deal non-piercing Physical damage.
5.1.137
Saturnian
- Their ability is now a Toggled tech (press F to activate)
- When stationary, use very little food.
- When moving, use a fair amount of food
- flight speed reduced drastically
- actual flight speed starts at 8, and slowly amps up to a maximum of 20 when airborn.
- you can no longer use the tech as a means to achieve insane vertical lift, rapidly. Speed upwards is capped at 20
- during the daylight hours, if you hover in bright light above ground, you can regenerate food fast enough to stay hovering much longer.
- when disabled, flight grants no-fall-damage for a brief period to prevent deadly falls
Non-flight related:
- can now ingest Sugary food quite happily as well as Herbivorous food
- Saturnian jump boost reduced by 15% since it is no longer required
- Saturnians have a 25% max-health penalty to counter flight
- Their Fire Resistance is improved by 10% (from -45% to -35%)
- Their Physical Resistance is 10% less (from 0 to -10%) to represent their slim and frail bodies
Moogles
Fixed Moogles to have the slowfall/gliding tech (including compatibility for the tech enabler item), and further balance tweaks, including reverting fall speed to normal as it's now done by the tech instead of being automatic.
Tweaked moogle stats yet again, and adjusted to work with the new tech enabler system so Moogles now have a gliding/slowfall tech and uncapped default fall speed.
TWEAKS
Shifted resistances around yet again
- 20% Cosmic Resistance → 30% Cosmic Resistance
- 10% Shadow Weakness → 30% Shadow Weakness
- 10% Radiation Weakness → 0% Radioactive "Normal"
- Uncapped fall speed,
- fall damage is now 50%
- Corrected tooltip decription
- Now correctly says diet is omnivore
Kitsune
Added support
5.1.136
Some food/energy cost adjustments on Flight techs.
Changed how food is computed by the techs (was a flat value, now takes current foodDelta and applies a modifier based on the race you are playing and their flight ability.
note that in your status menu the "default" is around 12 for food. The value will reduce from the penalties, not increase. Some people expressed confusion on that point so I wanted to clear it up.
5.1.135
-
Saturnian flight hunger costs drastically reduced
-
Saturnian scythe bonus should function
-
Drastically reduced food cost for Avian slowfall tech
-
Avali Glide tech is now similar to the Thelusian stances:
- Activate glide with F. Press UP for Slow Fall and press DOWN for Glide.
- Glide saps food far more greedily than slowfall, so you can adjust as needed.
- The mode-swap will play a helpful wingy sound effect so you know which mode you enabled.
-
Quickbar 'Double- update' icon issue should be corrected (GonDragon)
5.1.134
corrects tenebrhae Shadow Burst tech damage to calculate based on darkness, not light
5.1.133
Important:
I'm trying something due to overwhelming demand for a way to control the flight-based abilities of some races.
In-game you can now craft a Race Tech Enabler in your [C] menu
Currently the following races have new abilities given by this item. They are techs, and thus can be activated at will (via the F key. They occupy the Head slot)
Flight Abilities:
Avian: Their slow-fall gains additional near-immunity to fall damage.
Avali: Glide short distances and their usual fall reduction, etc
Saturnian: Saturnians gain limited flight in the direction they were travelling, and get a slight upward lift while doing so.
All the above races old flight-based abilities (excluding weapon bonuses and wind-based effects) are moved to these techs rather than being always-on passives.
The above Techs cost food before energy. If you have no food bar (playing in Casual mode for instance), they will only sap from the Energy bar. Likewise, if your food bar is low (roughly 20%) it will swap to consuming Energy.
The food consumed is substantially less than the energy consumed, allowing you to utilize it so long as you keep fed.
NON-flight abilities
Kazdra: Can now shoot fire at will with F rather than a random-chance combo projectile. Same method to get the new tech as the above new abilities.
This attack saps your food, then your energy. Food is consumed at a slower rate than energy.
Damage done is equal to : (food / 60) + (energy / 150) + (protection / 250)
This means the longer you burst fire, the less damage it will do, but it should scale in power with your chosen armor.
Thelusian: Thelusians got a new combat-based Tech. As with the above stuff, make the racial effect enabler item and use it.
Then you can activate Thelusian Warrior with F. Once activated it has three functions that will not activate unless the keys are pressed:
- DOWN: Activates Defensive stat. You lost 25% energy and power, but gain +25% protection
- UP : Activates Shielding mode. This increases Shield Bash rate by 25%, 50% Shield Regen increase, x2 Perfect Block limit and +5 to Shield Bash Push distances. Energy is reduced by 50%
- JUMP: activates Power mode. This increases damage by 25% at the expense of 25% energy and protection.
Tenebrhae lose their chance-based shadow powers in exchange for this new tech.
