  • Chris and Deb had problems with hotel reservations because the reservation link & code did not work. Jim contacted the hotel, and they resolved the issue.

  • Tentative schedule has been published on the LDMSCON2023 website.
• V4.4.1 Timeline
  • We will start testing on May 16.
  • We will not accept any new features after May 15. Only bug fixes will be accepted.
• A short presentation on an idea to collect Lustre Proc metrics by Alex.
  • Alex is interested in collecting Lustre metrics that none of the existing Lustre samplers collect.
  • He wants to implement a sampler to collect any Lustre stat files. An issue is that the metric list changes over time, so he cannot well-defined an LDMS set schema at the start time.
  • He plans to use a list of records in the set schema. Chris Morrone pointed him to procnetdev2 as a starting point.
  • Nichamon suggested he have metric names as a record attribute to address the issue that he does not know the whole list of metrics. Two caveats are 1) we will not be able to store a metric as a column, and 2) the aggregation overhead is higher than having metric names as metadata in the sets.
