4.3.6:

  • Plan Release Date Wednesday 23, 2020
  • Features
    • TimescaleDB Store from Karin Wu at HPC Center at Shanghai Jiao Tong University
  • Issues Resolved
    • RDMA Transport (Infiniband & Omnipath)
      • Use after free
      • Minor memory leak
  • Build issue with older versions of OFA verbs (e.g. earlier releases of RHEL7)
  • Discussion
    • Chris would like there to be more exposure of development planning to the user community
      • Interested in configuration (supporting more options in a config file that can be referenced) and networking plans
  • JobID sampler not working correctly (Eric)
    • Tom thinks that problems have been fixed -- wants to test
    • Chris says that the sampler needs to use prolog and epilog hooks
      • Tom will put in these changes and push
      • Eric would like to see this also
        • Not so concerned about the multi-tennant scenario but behavior in this scenario should be well defined
        • Chris is not so concerned with this either
    • Chris - Streams interface may be useful for scheduler/RMs other than Slurm
    • Chris would like the config file to be shared such that utilities such as streams and ldms_ls don't require so many config options
  • @oceandlr will brave converting to organizational (enabling wiki write access etc) over break
  • meetings extended through Jan 2021. We will do a mailing list and rescheduling in Jan
