FOB System

FOB Ownership

At any given time there can only be one player handling the Forward Operating Base. The FOB controller can use base building tools, utilize an aerial recon drone and transfer control to another player.

Server admins can choose what players are allowed to control the FOB using the settings framework.

To transfer control to a nearby player, the FOB controller must target the desired player and use the appropriate action in the action menu. If ACE is enabled, the action will reside in the target player's interaction menu.

If the FOB controller disconnects, any allowed player can assume control using the action menu.

Handling Curators (Zeus)

A player can only be assigned to one curator at a time. In order to preserve compatibility with external content, DCG includes a simple workaround for this limitation.

If a player is assigned to an external curator object (any curator not created by DCG) while deploying the FOB, the external curator will be saved and reassigned when the player dismantles the FOB.

Approval Influence

Deploying a Forward Operating Base increases the region's approval value if the approval addon is enabled; this affects how players interact with civilians in the area. Fortifying a FOB by building structures and spawning units further increases the approval value, so a built base is more beneficial to players.

ACE Integration

Any medical building placed through the Forward Operating Base will function as an ACE medical facility, allowing players to take full advantage of ACE's medical system.
