Emulator Settings
The Emulator Tab allows you to configure various Xenia options (RPCS3 lacks the useful command line parameters to enable this configuration) and change your emulator executable and external save file.
Allows you to change the path to your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 emulator.
This option allows you to choose a save file to use whenever the game is launched through the Mod Manager, for most users, leaving this box empty will be fine, as the game will just use its normal save file within your chosen emulator.
This options allows the user to specify various command line parameters to affect the emulator. Most users will never need to use this option. For a full list of arguments, check the documentation for your emulator of choice.
This option will allow you to change Xenia’s Graphics API between DirectX 12, Vulkan or a Custom API, this should only be changed if your computer cannot run Xenia with DirectX 12, as the Vulkan Renderer is very inaccurate and causes multiple graphical anomalies in game.
Sets the emulated system's language; if the game supports the selected language (those being English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish) then the game will use the approriate text translations (Japanese and English both have full voice acting as well). If the game does not support the selected language then it appears to default to English.
Changes Xenia's internal Rendering Resolution, between 720p (which is the default resolution), 1440p (2x Native Resolution) and 2160p (3x Native Resolution, or 4K). While this increases the game’s visual quality, it severely increases Xenia’s performance requirements and will impact the game's playability depending on the hardware being used.
This options synchronises Xenia to your monitor’s refresh rate to help prevent screen tearing issues.
Enable's Xenia’s Gamma Correction, resulting in more accurate colours in game.
This option will maximise Xenia to fill your monitor upon launch, unchecking this option will keep it in a 1280x720 window instead.
This option will enable the Discord Rich Presence support in Xenia. if Discord is open, then your now playing status will read playing Xenia and clicking on it will show that you are playing SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. Unchecking this option will remove the information showing what game is being played.
