Scenes from files
The function sceneFromFile reads an RGB image and converts it into a spectral scene. The spectrum is created by assuming the RGB image is displayed on a known, calibrated display. We treat the white point of the display as the illumination.
The function can also read multispectral data files that have been saved in ISETCam format. A few of these are available in the repository within the data/images/multispectral directory. Others are available for download at the Stanford Digital Repository. These multispectral data files can be downloaded using the ISETCam function ieWebGet.
Here are two examples. (CausianMale, Stuffed Animals)
ISETcam development is led by Brian Wandell's Vistalab group at Stanford University and supported by contributors from other research institutions and industry.
