Printers are not to be left running overnight / without people present.

Please report issues in the Issues tab. If a nozzle is clogged we need to know about it. Format your issue titles with the printer name first. Issues may include mismatches between documentation and reality - please let us know so we can improve.

Filament at the space is free to use, we have a lot of it. If you find yourself using an unusually large amount of filament, please consider replacing what you use.

Always allow machines to cool down before turning off. Failure to do so can clog the nozzle.

Do not make changes (eg. filament type and nozzle sizes) without consulting other members of the space about your proposed change. Machines and profiles are set up and documented for a particular filament type in the interest of ease of use and reliability. Assume the machines are set up how they are because that's what works well with that machine.

  • If you want to get experimental (eg. exotic materials), do not use the production machines for your experiments. There are several machines scattered around the space that can set up and used for general hackery.

  • If you find these conditions too restrictive for your needs, it may be time to invest in your own printer.
