Troubleshooting
Should you encounter a problem, it may be listed here:
Check your yaml against what is in the example here. It could be as simple as a formatting issue with spaces or tabs. (tabs not allowed in yaml)
Check the container logs and see what they say. Ensure that there are no firewalls enabled that are blocking docker bridge networks, or access to Plex, Sonarr, and Radarr.
Check the Refresh Duration
and Slide Duration
values. Its likely that this is too low if you have a lot playing or a large number of on-demand
being selected.
This could be that the default port 3000
is in use already. Try setting it to another port, like 9876.
Try refreshing your browser. Images are cached locally and dependant on your internet speed, may take a few seconds to initially load.
Posters for Now screening and on-demand, come from your plex library. Find the media item in your library and update the poster art.
It is possible that Plex, Sonarr, or Radarr may have been unavailable for some reason when Posterr tried to poll them for data. Because data loads for on-demand and coming soon are infrequent, the data may be missing. Whilst this will sort itself out within a day, you can go to settings and click 'save' to force a system restart.
Provided that you have enabled the TV theme option, then this is normal. Most, but not all, TV shows have themes available.
Providing you have enabled the Movie themes option, then there are two choices for music to play with movies. (In either case, if you don't have enough themes, then there will be duplication)
- Use the provided royalty-free titles. (Leave out the volume mount for /randomthemes in your YAML)
- Provide your own MP3 files. (Set the randomthemes volume mount and add your own MP3's)
Adding additional MP3 files to your
randomthemes
folder will decrease potential repitition of music
