Configuring Custom Pictures

The 'pictures' folder is for your custom pictures. ENSURE that you have added a new volume entry (for ./docker/posterr/custom) and recreated the Poster container
- You can put .png, .jpg, or .gif images into the 'default' folder.
- For best results, images should be 2:3 ratio. (600px width and 900px height works and scales well)
- If you wish to provide background art then this can also be .jpg, .png, or .gif
- Background art should have the same 'first' part of the picture filename, with -art at the end. (it does not need to be the same type of image though)
- Theme music/fx can be added as .wav or mp3. Use the same poster filename with a .mp3/.wav extension.
- background art and sounds are optional. Feel free to mix and match.
You can also group your pictures, art, and themes
- create a directory under the /custom/pictures folder (the name of the directory will be your theme name)
- put your picture files in there
- in Posterr settings, select this directory under the 'themes' dropdown, then save
Posterr is a web-based application, so large files, or lots of files, can impact performance.
- Aim for all posters, art, and sounds to be under the 1mb size. (it will still probably work if you dont but, large files could cause an impact)
- To maintain low cpu use and good performance, picture folders are not monitored on an on-going basis, but refreshed every 20 minutes. You can force a refresh by restarting the app or saving settings (which also restarts it)
- DO NOT rename the 'default' folder
