  • err:d3dcompiler:compile_shader HLSL shader parsing failed.
    • Fixed by dxfullsetup
  • Slow loading
  • Black sky, black stains on the ground, very slow
  • Installed the community patch 1.74
    • Immediately fixes some issues like keyboard remapping
    • exitcode != 0 though
  • Still very slow, most probably default settings are way too high
  • Mouse escapes, enable mousewrapoverride=force
    • Much worse. GrabFullScreen?
      • No... DXGrab?
        • Nope :( Mark as broken
  • Still black sky, black stains on the ground
    • Use Direct3D/AlwaysOffscreen=enabled as a workaround http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23012
  • According to Alexey Loukianov http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=6012&iTestingId=71819, need Timer.ThreadSafe=false in Ini/ge3.ini for good performance
    • in GOG edition, there's no Timer.ThreadSafe key in this file...?

  • "eCShaderMaterialAdmin: Compile shader material cache, this may take several minutes!!! Press button to start." Ok => doesn't seem to complete ever.
    • Game works again after installing Community Patch 1.75.14 on top of it. Not sure of the consequences.
    • Workaround: use \users$LOGIN\My Documents\Gothic3\Shader.Cache from Community patch
