    • Tested with 1.4.1
      • Same crash as non-GOG script
    • tested the included benchmark with different Wine versions. The test is not as good as I'd like (needs native DirectX to work), but it reveals a significant drop of FPS from 1.5.15 to 1.5.16 (min/avg/max: 10.31/15.51/22.16 => 4.49/5.71/7.54) with confirms a feeling with the game itself without native DirectX
      • Explanation is simple, "Optimal" video settings go from Low for 1.5.15 to Very High for 1.5.16. Same performance can be achieve with newer Wines is settings are set to Low manually.
      • and in the other direction, effects can be enabled before 1.5.16
      • so it's just the way the "optimal" setting (mis)behaves
