Hi @mback2k. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Instructions for interacting with me using PR comments are available here. If you have questions or suggestions related to my behavior, please file an issue against the kubernetes-sigs/prow repository.

Hm, this feels like a potentially breaking change. Shall we make it an optional feature or such?

I agree, but the idea was to automatically/intelligently save systems resources by avoiding the parent process (go-runner) if not needed. What do you think about an opt-out argument/flag?

@mback2k Thank your for the contribution! I agree with @saschagrunert that this should probably be an option. Additionally, can you please clarify (e.g. in the PR description) why do you think this change is needed and what do we get from it?

The Kubernetes project currently lacks enough contributors to adequately respond to all PRs.

This bot triages PRs according to the following rules:

  • After 90d of inactivity, lifecycle/stale is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/stale was applied, lifecycle/rotten is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/rotten was applied, the PR is closed

You can:

  • Mark this PR as fresh with /remove-lifecycle stale
  • Close this PR with /close
  • Offer to help out with Issue Triage

Please send feedback to sig-contributor-experience at kubernetes/community.
