This is the standard checklist to follow when a new release of Kontalk Android client is released.

Update translations from Weblate
Generate apk for release
Test apk in a fresh virtual environment
Close release milestone
Create release tag via git
Execute release script (sign and upload to mirrors)
Create release on GitHub
Announce on social networks
Announce on mailing lists
