What about email support via EAS?

The main feature of TbSync is to synchronize contacts, events and tasks to Thunderbird. The Exchange ActiveSync protocol itself also supports emails and some users have asked me to add email support via the TbSync account manager.
However, Thunderbird is already a very sophisticated email client using the IMAP protocol and I do not know of any email provider who supports EAS but not IMAP.
Furthermore, someone else has created an OWA connector for Thunderbird: https://addons.thunderbird.net/addon/owl-for-exchange/
