User interventions: Create an annotation to a zone in the image in EditMOM 3

The starting point to create annotations is the collection environment. Registered user have to select a single charter and edit it in the XML- rich text editor. There is a button Open Image Tools in the top right of this editor that opens the main toolbar. A click on the button Create new of the main toolbar starts the creation process. Now you can drag rectangles in the image. When you click into the image you see a grey overlay, your rectangle and the button Save selection is spared. Save selection fixes the image zone to relate it to a markup element. To create this relation the user has to click on the button Add metadata in the toolbar. A dropping area in the toolbar widget appears where a markup element can be dropped. To do this a user has to select a XML Tag in the rich text editor. Then the name of this element will be displayed on the right corner of the editor. This name can be dragged by the user and dropped into the area of the main toolbar. Afterwards it is possible to input a additional description to this annotation and save it with a click on the button Save metadata. (The annotations are stored as SVG files in the database)

To show all created annotations the user has to click on the button Show annotations in the main toolbar. Now all rectangles of the annotations will be displayed on the image. A click on a single annotation rectangle will show the related metadata. Moreover the user is able to edit the related markup element or delete the whole annotation.
