I'm using a Galaxy S8 (G9500 Snapdragon), which is currently not supported. Do I need to wait for a software update? Or is it a part of Google Play Service that I only need to wait for the service update?

@nathanmartz Just out of curiosity, why is the S8 included and the S8+excluded? They have the same SoC and sensors. The only difference is the screen and battery sizes.

@anotherlab, ARCore only runs on qualified devices, and qualification actually depends on the geometry of the device and the components like camera and IMU, which can vary in non-obvious ways even between different variations of the S8, let alone S8+.
