Right now, the documentation of geoNetwork covers all the basic aspects a user and a developer will face. But as the documentation has been made by many people during many years, on some parts the documentation is inconsistent or incomplete.

We want to review, cleanup and improve the user and developer documentation. Some parts of the functionality documentation are probably outdated or not used anymore. Some important features lack documentation. We also need a couple of step by step tutorials both for novice users and novice developers on the most common tasks.

We also propose to have an online easily editable documentation. There has been done several tests on this subject, using github's wiki. An example of a new documentation can be found here: https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/tree/develop/software_development
