DazToBlender 2024 v2.17.107 (Hotfix 107)
Hotfix Release:
- Bugfix several export errors related to Unicode filenames and user document paths
Known Issues:
- Emissive materials not currently supported using the legacy "Import Genesis" pathway.
- Texture Atlas Baking functions are currently incompatible with Mixamo.
- USDZ export performance may be significantly slowed down if "Nvidia Omniverse Launcher" is running. Work-around is to right-click on Omniverse in the system tray and fully exit the application.
Manual Installation:
- Make sure you have Daz Studio Installed via Daz Install Manager (DIM).
- Quit both Daz Studio and DIM.
- Double click the "DOUBLE_CLICK_ME" script file. Daz Studio should launch and run the script file.
- Click "Replace" if asked. If there were no errors, you should get success confirmation that package was copied into the correct DIM folder.
- Click "OK" and Daz Studio should automatically close and DIM should start.
- If you have a previous version of this software installed, go into the "Installed" Tab and click "Uninstall".
- Look in the "Ready to Install" Tab for the downloaded package and click Install. Click the small "refresh" icon at the top of the window if you do not see anything.
- If package installed successfully, you should see it moved over to the "Installed" Tab.

Blender 3.5, Genesis 9 (2022.2.19.43)
This is a preliminary update in preparation for further updates in the next few weeks.
- Improved Genesis 9 support (materials, skeleton, IK)
- Auto Rigify tool not yet supported for Genesis 9
- Improved positioning when toggling hand IK and foot IK on/off.
- Clear All Poses no longer requires switching to Pose Mode
- Changed version system to reduce confusion about mismatched Daz/Blender plugins: now, first three version numbers will match and last number will be reserved for bugfixes and build changes.

Manual Installation Instructions:
- If you manually installed a previous 2022 version, be sure to look for the older name, dzbridge_blender.dll to remove (if it exists).
- Download and unzip the dzblenderbridge.dll file.
- Quit Daz Studio if it is currently running.
- Copy the dzblenderbridge.dll file into the Daz Studio "plugins" folder, which is located inside the Daz Studio program folder. Ex: C:\DAZ 3D\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\plugins. Click Replace if you are asked what to do if file already exists.
