The above video was recorded in AAA version 219 on 21st October 2020 this is a tutorial on annotating recordings we can use the annotation window here and to control the annotation function and so for instance we would perhaps zoom in into a region of interest annotate by clicking and dragging the waveform window and then double clicking in the zoom window above or you can right click and select zoom and here we've got an r segment start of this word we'll just label that and click add and we'll add a label and then we can add keyframes now keyframes are space separated words or sequences of letters which will allow the export of subsets of annotations for further analysis or exporting to other software so here we'll use r minus e as the context for this r segment now there's another way of doing this using hot lists if we click on edit hotlist and software comes with a default very long hotlist but you probably want to create your own if you go into file and new you can add new annotations one at a time so here we can type again r for the label and r minus e for the keywords and then add another line use r for the label and perhaps r minus o for the oval context etc and continue until you've got your subset of labels that you want to use i've created one earlier i'm going to open we won't save this now i saved it in the project folder so if we move to the project folder load the list here we've got the list of labels and keywords and if we just close that now if we want to zoom back out again and select another recording or another word rather this is raw this time and we can select in this region here and this time we can right click on the waveform display and add annotations and here we've got our list so we can just use r minus a here and the annotation will be automatically added
