All data/methods we produce in this project (concerning "noise") should be freely available for people, start-up, companies... who would develop specific business. This positioning places the OnoM@p contribution closed to the recent open sciences movement already supported by the European Commision (see https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/news/open-innovation-open-science-open-world-vision-europe).

Softwares

Because of OnoM@p is build on top of open source softwares, it grants four freedoms (1) to run the program for any purpose, (2) to study how the program works and adapt it to your needs, (3) to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbour, (4) to improve the program, and to release your improvements to the public, so that the whole community benefits (see http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/13658810802634956). As the European Commission argues (see https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/open-data and http://ec.europa.eu/research/openscience/index.cfm?pg=openaccess), we believe that this approach will be a catalyst to :

  • facilitate collaboration between communities,
  • increase the potential to bring respective scientist groups closer to the industry. Companies that adopt this approach could increase their efficiency as well as reduce their time to market.
