Installation Instructions
All the information required to install adwaitapod on your iPod.
Adwaitapod is fully compatible with the following iPod devices:
- iPod Video (5th and 5.5th gen)
- iPod Classic (6th, 6.5th and 7th gen).
Adwaitapod is a UI on top of Rockbox. In order to use adwaitapod, you must first install Rockbox on your iPod. This process is outside the scope of this wiki as there is plenty of information provided on the Rockbox website. For support relating to Rockbox, please check out their forums, subreddit or IRC channel.
There are several different ways to install adwaitapod. The simplest way is to use the Rockbox Utility app. You can also manually install the theme by obtaining the files from either the Rockbox Themes site, or via the official adwaitapod website.

Download the Utility.
Download the latest version from the website.

Choose the Theme
Tick the themes box and click "Customize" to choose the theme. Find the adwaitapod version you want and click OK.

Install the Theme
Press the Install button, if you haven't already installed Rockbox now is a good time to do this!

Use the Theme
Boot into Rockbox on your iPod and go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Browse Theme Files. Select your adwaitapod version, and enjoy!

Download the Theme Files.
Navigate the Rockbox Theme site for your model until you find the version you want to install. Download and unzip the files.

Mount your iPod to a computer
Open the iPod's directory in your file explorer.

Move Theme files to the iPod
In the adwaitapod folder, move the '.rockbox' folder to the iPod's directory and merge files.If you can't see the '.rockbox' folder, enable 'show Hidden Files'.

Safely Eject the iPod
Follow your OS's instructions for safely ejecting the iPod.

Use the Theme
Boot into Rockbox on your iPod and go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Browse Theme Files. Select your adwaitapod version, and enjoy!
!!! This option is not available yet, however downloading from the Github Releases is the exact same and just as recommended. !!!

Download the Theme Files.
Visit the adwaitapod site's download section. From there, find your desired version and click download. Unzip the folder once downloaded.

If you installed adwaitapod prior to the 12h of June 2023, then you may want to consider removing the previous version before upgrading. Version 3.0 is a complete rebuild of adwaitapod, and files from the previous version will not be removed or overwritten upon upgrading. So while not strictyl neccesary, it is highly recommended you remove the old version with the following steps:

Navigate to the theme selection menu
From the home menu, take the following steps: Settings -> Theme Settings -> Browse Theme Files.

Locate adwaitapod and enter the Context Menu
Find your adwaitapod entry, then enter the Context Menu by long pressing select on the entry.

Open With the Theme Removal tool
Press Open With... and scroll until your find the 'theme_remove' entry .

Select Remove Theme
Optionally, you can tweak the tool options, however you can press Remove Theme. If you are asked to delete something, select Yes by pressing the central button.

Done!
You're now finished. You can now proceed to install the new version of adwaitapod!
