Hi! I created a few scripts and a new Python file and minor alterations in PyMusAnim back in 2012 so I could create videos with one command in Linux. I haven't put these changes online until now because I didn't really test it thoroughly until recently.
I'm not sure you'll want to add Linux-only files into your repository but if you do here is the pull request. These files won't hurt "traditional" users of PyMusAnim since the original method of creating animations can be used normally, the scripts would only be an extra if the user happens to be running Linux.
Anyways thanks for PyMusAnim - it's awesome and been working great for me! Much better than the original Music Animation Machine IMHO. If you do have time and want to work on the project again I think that reading MIDI files could be greatly improved (check my project page's README) and I'd also like to see a shapes-mode like in the original MAM - though I know it's a lot to ask. Let me know if you ever want to do something together and thanks again for the awesome open-source project :)
