YAML RFC Process
In 2017 Tina Müller, Ingy döt Net and Felix Krause started creating a set of RFCs to represent possible changes to the YAML language in subsequent versions.
Those RFCs were published on this wiki for a while and still exist in the
history of its git repository under the deprecated-2020-wiki-content
tag.
While the Core Development Team fully expects to formalize and restart the RFC process, it is currently on hold, while we publish the upcoming 1.2.1 spec and then figure out a few more details on how the process should work.
If you want to chat with us about it, see the YAML Community page for ways to do that.
We fully expect to see the RFC process formalized and opened up in the next 2 or 3 months. Internally we have a set of over 50 ideas that we want to expose as official RFCs.
