Pricing Integration

Some notes related to how manual pricing and in-game pricing work and how they related to tab refresh/selection.

Tab check state:

  • If any items are priced within a tab (either manual or in-game using note field or tab name) the tab is 'force checked' (greyed out) which means that it will always be refreshed when auto-refresh is enabled or the option is chosen to refresh checked tabs. This is to ensure that acquisition data and game data are in sync as much as possible, confusion can result occasionally if they are not in sync

In-Game pricing:

  • Tabs in game can be set with a price and also 'note' fields on items can be set with prices. If either of these are done in game acquisition will detect and display the in-game prices for items.
  • Acquisition will not let you manually modify the prices of items that have been priced in-game. So if you can't change the price of some item it probably has a 'note' field set for pricing or is in an in-game priced tab.

Posting to the forums:

  • Acquisition will not post to the forums any items that are in-game priced. This is because poe.trade and other indexers get nearly immediate up-to-date pricing info when in-game pricing is changed. If items were also listed in the forums they would essentially have two sources of pricing information leading to a lot of confusion for the indexers and users who may be seeing two different prices for items depending on whether they are looking at the forums or an indexer for pricing info
