Strange. No tests on centos 8 ..

That's because the systemd service unit uses PIDFile and that's incompatible with Docker. We've looked at switching to podman, but until then it's not possible to test it.

Ah, I've see the discussions.
This is a Ubuntu host / el8 container issue then?
Because it runs fine on a rockylinux8 host with docker.
