In this document, you will find the first steps in the configuration of your device. All the steps are being executed on a computer with Windows 10 installed. Remember to read the requirements for your device.
The recommended requirements to use the device connected to a computer are as follow:

Additional | Along with the device, you should use an adapter for connecting the device directly to the PC |
- Connect the device properly to the adapter.
- Connect the adapter to the computer using a USB 3.0 port. To verify which port your computer has, search for Device Manager in your Windows applications and check the Universal Serial Bus Controller menu.
- The computer will recognize your device, and it will automatically install the drivers for your Kinect V2. Check the links section in this page if you have trouble.
- Once the process is finished and the system confirms the installation of the device with the message “Your device is ready,”.
- Download the Kinect for Windows SDK. You can alternatively search for it on the Internet as Kinect SDK 2.0.
- Install the program.
- Search in the computer the SDK
- Open the SDK program.
- Select the option Kinect Configuration Verifier
- Confirm in the last item of the verification, that you are receiving both the RGB and the depth streams
