x265 is licensed under the GPL v2.0. Source code is not included in the repository. When library is enabled with --enable-x265 flag, source code of x265 is downloaded from www.videolan.org. Then top level scripts make minor compilation fixes and build x265 library. Changes applied by build scripts can be found inside build/android-x265.sh and build/ios-x265.sh scripts.

xvidcore

xvidcore is licensed under the GPL v2.0. Source code is not included in the repository. When library is enabled with --enable-xvidcore flag source code of xvidcore v1.3.7 is downloaded from www.xvid.com. configure script distributed with v1.3.7 release can not enable asm when -fembed-bitcode is provided for Darwin. To overcome this problem -Wl,-read_only_relocs,suppress and -flat_namespace flags are removed from configure script. Other than that xvidcore is built without making any modifications.
