I am Soumitri Chattopadhyay, a second year Computer Science Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am a part of UNC Biomedical Image Analysis Group, advised by Prof. Marc Niethammer. I completed my Bachelors (B.E.) in June '23 majoring in Information Technology at Jadavpur University, India.
Currently, I am working on semi-supervised segmentation of multimodal 3D medical scans. My interests broadly encompass multimodal learning (Vision + X) for generative computer vision, medical image analysis and fine-grained representation learning. Prior to starting PhD, my research background focused on self-supervised learning for various computer vision applications, particularly on low-resource data (medical imaging, human sketches, signatures etc.). I also occasionally work on audio/language processing.
