WatchNext: Backend

Welcome to the WatchNext App project! This full-stack web( in progress ) application replicates the core features of YouTube, allowing users to upload, view, and interact with videos.

Setup:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-username/WatchNext.git
   cd WatchNext

2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
   

3. Configure environment variables:

   • Create a .env file in the server directory and set the following variables:

         PORT = 3000
         MONGODB_URI=mongodb+srv://soniyaprasad:<your-password>@cluster0.ojkspsq.mongodb.net
         CORS_ORIGIN=*
         ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET= chai-aur-code
         ACCESS_TOKEN_EXPIRY= 1d
         REFRESH_TOKEN_SECRET=chai-aur-backend
         REFRESH_TOKEN_EXPIRY =10d
         CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME=your Cloudinary name
         CLOUDINARY_API_KEY=your Cloudinary API key
         CLOUDINARY_API_SECRET= your API secret
     

4. Start the application:

   # In the server directory
   npm run dev
   

5. Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000 to view the application.
