Installation Instructions

Google Chrome or Brave

1. Download this repo as a ZIP file from GitHub.
2. Unzip the file and you should have a folder named freewall.
3. In Chrome go to the extensions page (chrome://extensions).
4. In Brave go to the settings page (brave://settings/).
5. Enable Developer Mode.
6. Drag the freewall folder anywhere on the page to import it (do not delete the folder afterwards).

Notes

• Every time you open Chrome it may warn you about running extensions in developer mode, just keep the extension enabled.
• You will be logged out for any site you have checked.
• This extension works best along side the adblocker uBlock Origin using Chrome or Brave without any adblocker.

Sites with limited number of free articles

The free article limit can normally be bypassed by removing cookies for the site.*

When coming across a paywall click the cookie icon to remove the cookies then refresh the page.
