Adding new components:

  • Sign into the admin console
  • Hit 'Add' next to the item you need to add
  • Definitions:
    • Tasks - generic task items, not assigned to anyone
      • Title - the task name that will show on the tracker website. Capitalize only first letter and abbreviations (i.e. CSC VPN client request, not CSC vpn Client Request)
      • Description - long text description of the item
      • Stage - see tracker website for legend description
      • Predecessor - make sure to mark predecessors to know what needs to be completed before the new item
      • Capability - the capability chosen here will be used to automatically assign the task to new people given that capability
      • Division - optional - use this is the task is related to a certain Business Unit
      • Task type - item should be either related to software or access permissions
    • People - a new staff member
    • Assignments - an item made up of a Person, assigned to a Task
