@shannonpileggi, with the weight you can control the position in the menu. It currently has 1, just like Mission, so it put this one first because G < M

I feel like alignment with core values could feel vague to some people in terms of what that looks like but I am not coming up with a good concrete example we could add. I am going to think more about this.
I also think we need to have a think about where statement of our core values belong the most? In the guide or on our website? My gut feeling is that they should mainly live on our website, but maybe be elaborated in the guide to have practical examples of how these core values come to life through chapter activities? |

Some small suggestions in text.
Other than that I think this is a great addition to the guide, but I wonder if we should work on the accessibility of the language somewhat. I think this would score quite high in language complexity, in terms of vocabulary and tone. This will likely make this a hard read for those who have English as a secondary language.

I feel this one might kind of be covered by combinations of other points. like 2, 3 and 4

I like that it is an explicit point (and I feel better with 10 points and no 9 points 😝 )

If it is core values of the global team, perhaps guide. If it is core values of the organization, perhaps website. |
I like that. That makes a lot of sense. I agree, these are Global Team values, not organisation values per se, so are nicely places here. Just good to have that clear in mind :) |
note: also add privileges & responsibilities. example here: https://github.com/programminghistorian/jekyll/wiki/Privileges-and-Responsibilities-of-Membership |
