The older RegEx had a possibility of a ReDOS attack due to having polynomial complexity. The new RegEx replaces all variables before parsing unlike the older one which only replaced variables containing special characters.

The older RegEx (
{{[^{}]*[.:/?#@&\]][^{}]*}}) had a possibility of a ReDOS attack due to having polynomial complexity.
