The procedure behind the Antispam extension is plausible and can be summarized in only one sentence: The comment field of an article page is exchanged. The principle of the "bee" is more complex and far-reaching than making only one field invisible (this will stop only very stupid bots). The Antispam plugin has, among other things, filters for comment blocking on a regional and / or linguistic level. No cookies are used and no JavaScript needs to be enabled. In suspicious cases, Antispam Bee notifies you by e-mail.
Since Antispam Bee 0.3, the WordPress plugin checks the incoming ping and trackbacks for their validity and authorization. During the control process, shortened IP addresses (host and original) of the server are matched: If the tested IPs do not match, the ping was sent from another server. Thus only simulated, thus spam.
