The 2.0 release of PHOIBLE adds several new data sources, corrects many errors, and adds Glottolog codes as langoid identifiers for each inventory (this latter enhancement has the added benefit of reducing the chances of stale ISO codes). Some stats:

  • 3020 phoneme inventories (doculects), comprising 2185 glottolog codes and 2100 unique ISO 639-3 codes
  • 105467 phoneme entries comprising 3183 unique phonemes

This is the development repository; most users will only be interested in the RData and csv files in the data folder. PHOIBLE data is also available in CLDF from the phoible.org download page.
