Quantitative Economics

This repository collects code for quantitative economic modeling

Comprehensive documentation is currently being prepared

At present, the majority of the code is described at quant-econ.net, in an on-line course authored by Thomas J. Sargent and John Stachurski

However this code repository is a separate project from quant-econ.net, and we welcome contributions and pull requests

Downloading the Repository

Either

  • Click the 'Download ZIP' button on the right, or
  • Use Git to clone the repository

The quantecon Package

This repository includes the Python package quantecon

Assuming you have pip on your computer --- as will be the case if you've installed Anaconda --- you can install the latest stable release of quantecon by typing

pip install quantecon

at a terminal prompt
