it may happen that ssh exits 0 but something is displayed on its stderr, which is unlikely to be valid json. thus don't try to parse it as such and display it only when needed.

I am using ssh via proxycommand to go through a jumphost, in this case ssh displays "killed by signal 1" on stderr at the end of a command, which fgerrit tries to parse as json and dies
