There are two types of users in the system, professors and students. You should first log in with the professor account, which is the account you created in the createsuperuser
step of the setup above. This professor can then create a course and some files belonging to this course.
After you have done this, you can log in as a student. To create a student account you can use the signup form on the website. A student can perform activities like subscribing to courses, downloading and commenting on files, and searching for files.
