AAPS works with a number of insulin pumps. The following list shows the currently supported devices and indicates if AAPS communicates with the pump using your phones native Bluetooth function or if it requires a Rileylink Compatible device in brackets.

- [Accu-Chek Combo](../Configuration/Accu-Chek-Combo-Pump-v2.md) (Bluetooth; new driver, available starting with AndroidAPS v.3.2, recommended)
- [Accu-Chek Combo](../Configuration/Accu-Chek-Combo-Pump.md) (Bluetooth; old driver that uses the additional Ruffy app)

When you first start AAPS you are guided through the setup wizward to setup the basic configuration.

It's not mandatory to get all things configured in the first run as
- you can always go back to the setup wizard or
- change only relevant part of the configuration in a direct approach the relevant part.
The setup wizard is intended to help you configure all the necessary configurations for AAPS in one go.

Though please relax if your are setting up AAPS the first time and expect that you might ask the community for help to answer some of your questions.
That means you are guided by AAPS not to forget something. Especially the permission settings are fundamental to setup AAPS.

Even writers of the documentation themselves had to setup AAPS and decided to joint the documentation team to bring their experiences back to improve the documenation for other new starters.
But it's not mandatory to get all things configured in the first run as there are three choices available to change the configuration after the setup wizard. They will be explained directly after the setup wizard. It's okay if you skip some points if you are unsure and configure them later.

During and direct after the setup wizard nothing tremendous happens. Until you can enable your DIY APS loop you have to follow the objectives to get feature after feature enabled. You start the first objective at the end of the setup wizard. You are the master of AAPS, not the other way around.

If you can't stand to know what happens next with the objectives, please read [Completing the objectives](../Usage/completing-the-objectives.md) but come back here to run the setup wizard first.

:::

From the experience of the last years we know that especially new starters feel themself under pressure to setup AAPS fast.

Of course we all want to get the setup done as quickly as possible, but compared to the time of a life it's not that important and the benefits of a well runing AAPS loop can be huge.

If you find a question somewhere that you can't find the answer to in the documentation, please ask the community. Information on how to ask the community is documented in [Connect with other users](../Where-To-Go-For-Help/Connect-with-other-users.md).
